Oh Steve you tried...

Soo... I may have taking some creative liberties with that explosive barrel. Hope you guys don't mind.

I guess you could say that his plan "blew up" in his face..............I'll just go stand in the corner for a week for my punishment.

Well, to Steve's credit, he did save Salih.......

Well sure! I mean she was already out of the line of fire and if the droids wished to continue shooting at her they would have to get past 3 sith to do so... but yea he totally saved her.

Hahahahaha!

This is such a great moment. First, that they assess the medic, not the tank or the DPSer, as the main threat and aggro to her. And then, that the other guys go blindly attacking and then after getting wounded call for the medic.

Did you watch my gameplay over my shoulder? LOL.

I've been a healer for so long that I've damn near seen it all.

I guess Mendy's "cause enemies to blindly attack me" ability was on cooldown?

Also, if Steve's doing this in hopes of receiving some afection from Salih, he's about to be very disappointed...

It's not so much that it was on cooldown so much as he didn't notice the droids until after it was too late.

Always agro the entire room and keep the enemy as spread out as possible.
If you're the tank, wave that little white flag to confuse the enemy. They'll think you're surrendering and bash on the guy hogging all the green mist drugs.

As someone who has played all 6 types of healers(Having 3 healers on each side of course :D) I soo reccognize this one LOL. The tank and dps being of somewhere killing mobs when the next swarm notices the huge agro of a healer and goes straight at em like a homing missile :D.

What's fun is when said healer is a Body Type 4 Trooper walking around with a portable Superlaser for an assault cannon...

I always thought the trooper healing beam from the assault cannon was the most ridiculous looking in game healing ability.

It's like a water cannon but with kolto. I think there would be a lot of waste and it would be sticky. I don't know if kolto is actually sticky but I imagine it is.

I always thought the assault cannon was on the wrong trooper. The giant cannon that would make any sort of mobility and use of cover nearly impossible and just screams LOOK AT ME, is not on the tank?!

Ender

To be honest, I usually shoot the medic first, 'cause the last time I did that, I ended up killing someone six levels above me. Medics are mostly my highest priority if I happen to run into a player, because they are usually the ones making everyone else invincible.

I love how "Annoyed expression" is a key part of identifying the healer in the group.

Ditto on the annoyed expression! What is fun about this game is that you actually can choose an annoyed expression and the cut scenes often give one a "grumpy b-face." As a long time healer who is learning to tank I find myself hyper-vigilant about protecting my healer. Yay Steve for at least trying!
I never thought of kolto as sticky but now that you mention it I REALLY don't want to be in a kolto tank.

Good on you for trying to learn to tank. I've tried several times and I am just terrible at it. I have tons of respect for good tanks.

As a fairly mediocre tank trying to learn to heal, Hammer Station is not a great one to start with. Espcially since Operatives don't get instant-heals until ~40. Tons of respect for any healer who can pull a group through tough fights.

I have actually done this on a low lv smuggler healer recently. It's not so bad as a tactical because you have the healing things for boss fights. With everything else you just have to be really on your toes. The only thing that really sucked was the first boss fight because I didn't have a cleanse yet. There was a lot of spamming the healing things. We one shot it but it wasn't pretty.

After that I didn't que for another flash point until AFTER I got my cleanse.

Rorhi Tarnation

I think they also nerfed the damage that ability does, because I have tanked, healed and dps-ed it at all difficulties, and have had little issue as a tank, even if we have a lowbie healer without cleanse.

And kudos on at least trying to learn to tank, I am always telling my guildies I am willing to teach, but so many people are too scared to even try to tank. It is a lot of pressure, but not nearly as scary as people think, especially if you are learning it with friends and/or guildies. I'll even try and give randoms pointers if they are still learning it, but that can be hard mid-fight because typing while fighting is a pain, and at that point I just might be the healer.

I have played all healer types, all tank types, and have many dps as well. My fave healer is the sage/sorc, and then Op, Commando, Scoundrel, Merc. For favorite tank, it's a little more fuzzy, although right now I have been enjoying my Shadow tank to pieces.

And, I'm not going to lie, while I am generally a good player, I have from time to time been like Mendy, lol. Except in my guild and among my friends, they call it pulling a Tar (most of my toons have Tar in their names, except when they don't), and I have been known to doze off tanking things that don't require a lot of thinking at the time (but never in HM Ops, no, plenty going on there, keeps me awake =P )

I have been enjoying your comic immensely, I think we all know players like these 4.
